History of The Church of Haile Selassie I

The Church of Haile Selassie I was formed in the year 1987 by brother Ammanuel Foxe along with other brethren such as Nathaniel Hibbert, George Hart and Junior (Buni) Anderson. Brother Ascento Foxe is a Rastafarian activist and International President of the Imperial Ethiopian World Federation, Inc.,

The Theological base of The Church of Haile Selassie I is founded upon temple worship through liturgical chant and rituals dated back to the days of Moses in the wilderness.
This is known as Rastalogy, 'Black Theology' based on the divinity of Emperor Haile Selassie I of Ethiopia, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Elect of Yahweh Elohim Sabboath, 225th rebirth of King Solomon of Jerusalem.
The early emergence of Rastafarianism was unable to establish a documented way of worship because of the lack of academic education and material resources, which did not give the grassroots people the opportunity.  The opening of England for cheap labour gave members of the Rasta community the
opportunity to migrate; where these brethren's exploited the educational facilities in Europe for the interest of socio-politico and religious development of the Rasta community in Jamaica
that today, sixty years after the emergence of Rasta in Jamaica the community has finally established a documented way of worship.
This establishment came at a time when young Rastafarians and their families needed a documented way of worship, which would legitimize their faith and religious practices, giving their offspring and aged, security and a religious status both in the work place in the community and at school.
The continuity of the religious faith of the Rastafarians could not survive the 21st century without a centralized way of worship, the crowning glory of the faith of Rasta.
Haile Selassie I, worshiped as God among men on earth, incense burned in His name, people blessed and baptized in the name of Haile Selassie I, could only be fulfilled with the coming of The Church of Haile Selassie I Temple Worship.
The establishment of The Church of Haile Selassie I and temple worship will insure that in the year 2001, the name Haile Selassie I, will be praised and proclaimed compatible to that of Jesus the Christ, Buddha, Lord Rama, and Lord Krishna.
