The Church of Haile Selassie I was established through the grace and benevolence of the Ethiopian Crown under the authority of His Majesty Emperor Haile Selassie I. A Royal Charter from the Crown of Ethiopia was given to the Abuna Ammanuel Foxe, founder and caretaker of the Church of Emperor Haile Selassie I, by His Imperial Majjesty Ahma Selassie I

Ethio-Africa has given the world three major religions: Judeo-Christianity, Islam, and Traditional Worship. Rastafarians have chosen Traditional Worship, where the King represents the visible representation of God. The devotees of this conception; such

Baptism or Initiation

The emergence of the Rastafarian Community, 1916-1930 in Jamaica, came during the rule of British Colonialism. Lacking an Ethiopian educator, the early Rastafarian Community developed their faith out of misinterpretations and slight ignorance. Marriage

The Church of Haile Selassie I has seven sacraments, the fourth of which is Matrimony or Familyhood.
In that respect, The Church of Haile Selassie I perform legal marriages when a King and Queen desire to make that union in the sight of God, Emperor Haile Selassie I.

Ascension Ritual
​
The Church of Haile Selassie I has seen the requirement to have the departed Rastaman or Rastawoman be interned and buried with a Rastafarian ritual as opposed to being buried by a Christian Priest or Pastor.




Prison Ministry
​
The Church of Haile Selassie I administers to Rastafarian inmates who have recognized and acknowledged the errors of their life and are willing to make serious changes to perceive and understand the redemptive power to the Rastafarian faith. Many have continued on to be released out of prison and become a Levite or a Priest in the Church.
The Church of Haile Selassie I up until recently administered to the US's New York State Department of Corrections and administered to over seventy (70) separate prisons.
